Megan FoxFor many young people, dealing with Trichotillomania can be both frightening and depressing. But it doesn’t have to be.
Today, we take advice from actress Megan Fox, born in 1986. Though she’s best known for her movie roles and stunning looks, the actress also has a lot to say about inner beauty.

“I grew up craving the spotlight, and once it happened, I immediately recoiled,” she once said.

How does she manage to stay gorgeous even when combating this stress? Megan has spoken candidly on the subject of her beauty philosophy many times. Here are her top tips you can apply when battling Trichotillomania.

1. Keep Your Face Clean and Moisturized

In an interview with the magazine Marie Claire, Megan said, “My beauty philosophy is ‘less is more’, so my daily routine consists of washing my face thoroughly and moisturizing. I drink lots of water and think it’s important to get lots of sleep.”

2. Keep Your Hair Natural and Avoid Harsh Coloring Treatments
“I always wanted to be blonde when I was little, like Barbie and Pamela Anderson, but it would really damage my hair,” she says. For the most part, Megan has kept her natural dark-colored, luscious locks. But she’s also gone bald for roles, and tried different haircuts to enhance her facial features.

3. Be True to Yourself
Megan believes in lighting up your aura from the inside out. “I think that when a woman is in harmony with herself and remains true to her values, she will glow naturally,” she says.

4. Keep Your Attitude in Check
“My definition of beauty is simplicity, elegance and sensuality,” said the young actress — who has admitted to Obsessive-Compulsive-Disorder (OCD). “Ava Gardner is my beauty icon. Femininity doesn’t depend on what you wear or how you look. It’s an attitude.”

5. Continually Review Life Lessons
“I think you accidentally learn things in high school that turn out to be life lessons when you are able to step back a bit and study them in more depth,” Megan Fox tells us. It’s clear that the actress has not let problems or disorders of her past stop her from moving forward.

Megan Fox took control of herself. Even though she has faced physical setbacks, she kept up her beauty routines and continued to bring more positivity, energy and beauty to her life and work. And so can you.
