Daniel hurts his wrist and bumps his head while playing outside. After going to the ER and getting X-rays and a CT scan they noticed something that turned out to be Brain Cancer.

After having a biopsy, Daniel and his family learn that he falls into a high risk category with a cancerous tumor called Medulloblastoma PNET.

St. Jude Children’s Hospital has reviewed Daniel’s case and agreed to treat him. There plan was to do 6 weeks of radiation with a 6 week break followed by a 7 month regimen of chemo.

Today is the day the doctors surgically remove the larger tumor. The surgery goes well, but there are still more places of the disease in Daniel’s brain, which hopefully the radiation and chemo will take care of.

Daniel finishes round 3, 4, and 5 of chemo and his MRI comes back with no cancerous cells. Although, this is great news, Daniel continues to fight as they would like to see areas to get even smaller and more cleared up.
